Ryan and the Harlots was birthed in October 2010, spurring from the early works of singer-songwriter Ryan Hartley. He began creating songs and recording demos in 2005, working to construct and perfect his own unique sound. His soulful voice brings out deep, cerebral lyrics, now backed by cello player Mike Rusthoven, guitarist/banjo player Dave Tessier, and drummer Sergio Garcia. A unique blend of indie and folk with undertones of soul, the band has a sound that is anything but monotonous, showcasing rhythm and change-ups that fully display a various number of influences from each of its versatile counterparts.
Thanks to everyone who came out to Dan's Silverleaf last night, it was great to play on that stage for the first time and very nice of you all to come see us.
